Hand-carved ring in recycled sterling silver with peridot.
A sculptural ring exploring light, surface, and elemental texture. Carved intuitively in wax and cast in silver, Solaris translates natural erosion and celestial terrain into a tactile, luminous form.
Solaris forms part of Annie King’s ongoing exploration of landscape, cosmic structure, and the sensory qualities of matter. The brushed surface preserves the gestures of its making, echoing windswept geological forms and imagined planetary surfaces.
At its centre, an oval peridot introduces a concentrated field of colour—referencing ancient associations with renewal and protection while functioning as a point of luminosity within the sculptural band. The stone’s shifting green tone interacts with light, suggesting movement, growth, and solar energy.
